SEPTEMBER EVENT: An Evening With Singer/Songwriter Nigel E Harris

Rideau Sports Centre , 1 Donald Street , Ottawa, ON K1K 4E6

North of England-born, Nigel's guitar and ukulele skills, soul-fueled voice and deft song craft have garnered local acclaim around the Ottawa area. His 2012 original album release 'Evolutions, Revelations and Illusions' was well received. Nigel continues to release singles online through CDbaby, with new material due out June 2021.

He runs 'Musical Wellness' (musicalwellness.com) which he attests creates 'love made visible', the positive energy shift visible available for audiences through the power of music. These days, he gives daily virtual concerts to the special needs community and teaches ukulele and guitar to his devoted students throughout Canada.

Nigel returns to 'The Bridge' for an evening of eclectic music on guitar, ukulele and cavaquinho, delivering his usual humorous onstage banter.

ADD A TIP to help us keep making music!

(PHOTO PRE-COVID) Musical Wellness has been raising the spirits of the elderly and vulnerable through music since 2003. Since March 2020 we have not been able to operate in our usual locations and have reduced our programming accordingly. We are teaching and holding some sessions virtually and welcome any tips you can spare. Cheers Nigel

 FEEDBACK FROM SOME HAPPY CUSTOMERS!

"We are so happy we have been able to continue music therapy throughout the pandemic. It is an important staple for our Participants and is something they look forward to each Monday even though it’s different and through a screen instead. Thank you for all you do and for bringing such joy to our guys!"

Jessica Robertson, Day Services Program Manager, ACE, LIFE, ESP and R and R, Partners In Parenting

"We want to thank you for enriching our day with your music (The Turtles!, Gordon Lightfoot!, Tom Paxton!), for adding those songs to your repertoire for us, and especially for your beautiful rendition of Paul Stookey's The Wedding Song (There Is Love) during the wedding procession. You made the difference - Thank you".

David Cohen and Lisa Bogdonov, Ottawa, Canada

"You raise spirits everywhere you take your voice and instruments. Don’t stop!"

Madeleine Papineau, Ottawa, Canada

"I want to thank you for sharing and contributing to my bday celebration calls last Friday.  You brought beautiful music, positive energy, humour, joy and a celebratory spirit to the gathering.  All really good STUFF!  We had lots of great feedback from people saying they enjoyed it."

Maryse Cohen, Ottawa, Canada

"I had such a great time yesterday during our (zoom) lesson, my husband had been doing some outdoor work and came in for a break and heard me (playing my ukulele), he too is so happy that I'm learning and having fun!"

Melanie Parker, Ottawa, Canada
